Recent research progress on the stimuli-responsive smart membrane: A review

Abstract The smart membrane is a new type of functional membrane. performance this changed according to the variations in external physical and chemical signals. This has become an essential focus specific recognition, catalysis, selective permeation, other fields. However, problems are weak anti-pollution ability, poor response performance, inability mass production. Therefore, scholars have done lot research on improving by modification, grafting polymerization, phase transformation, situ cross-linking copolymerization. review provides comparative investigation summary membranes, including temperature, light, electric field, magnetic pH, molecular ion-responsive membranes. Moreover, authors also introduce preparation process, selectivity, optimization improvement their application Finally, authors’ perspective current key issues directions these fields for future development discussed.
